I unintentionally FORGOT (what!?) last week’s WUW. . . so, alas I apologize. It Will not happen again!
But the good news is that I have begun my very official & legitimate French Classes! My first two classes were Monday and Tuesday and they both went extraordinarily well. My professors name is Sylvie and she is by far the Best language teacher I have ever had. Although she speaks not a word of English during class, she somehow conveys her point and it all becomes crystal clear. I am one of ten people in the class and one of three people from the States. Other countries represented are South Africa, Russia, Brasil, China, Japan, New Zealand, Greece. It is really so cool to be in class with people from all over the world, we’re all at such a basic knowledge level of French that it arouses a feeling of connectedness and friendship from the very first class. I feel that I’ve already learned so much and am practicing every single night so that this experience can be lived to its fullest. {if you cannot tell, this all excites me to the max!} ;P
And now, on to this weeks phrase:
” ou est… “
” where is…“
” ou est Notre Dame” ou “ou est la toilette“
“where is Notre Dame” or “where is the toilette“
(pronounced: ‘oo ay‘ ~ ‘oo ay la twah-let‘ )
DISCLAIMER : I don’t speak French well at all, IF at all….. all WUW words are those that I have found help me communicate on a daily basis in France and the definitions are purely out of my recognition of the word and how I have experienced them used
