Fairytale: an interesting but highly implausible story; often told as an excuse
I’m going with the implausible here, weekends simply don’t get any better than this weekend we just lived. Friday was dinner and drinks with our favorite family from Paris; David, Heather & Boston. Heather and I met the boys up at their ‘work bar’ for a cocktail to conclude their week of work. After the bar we walked a ways down from la Defense to an Indian Resto that David said was his absolute favorite indian he’s ever ever had. Whoa, thats a statement. Then we brought in our Five Year Anniversary with a coupe de champagne and toasted to us, to Paris, and good friends.

Then we slept most of Saturday morning away and David went out to buy himself a new suit and who knows what else
and then we were off to dinner at Mon Vieil Ami. As we came out from dinner this was what greeted us

After dinner we went home to change and grab our bottle of champagne to take down to the Seine for a champagne night cap. It was beautiful and the weather was absolutely perfect. Nights in Paris just don’t get better than this.
Sunday was the finale of the Tour de France. I am not a HUGE biking fan but David has been watching it on TV for what seems like months now, so we couldn’t pass up seeing the men take their final laps down the Champs Elysees. I think they said there were around 600,000 people there on the Champs and we were just two of them enjoying the tradition. They flew by us eight times; and it seemed as if they were going as fast as cars and perhaps they were.

fairytales are true.
